How Do I Use the Ultra Speed Rope?

The Fitness-Mad Ultra Speed Skipping Rope is a great tool for improving your speed, stamina and agility. Try using it for some of the moves below to maximise your fitness:

  • Beginner: It's best for beginners to start off with the classic skip, which targets your calves and hamstrings. Once comfortable, move on to the hopping skip, which involves arcing the rope towards one foot at a time and alternating hops so you land on a different foot each time.
  • Intermediate: Try the high knees technique, which will really make your calves and hamstrings burn. Simply alternate high knee hops instead of jumping over the rope normally.
  • Pro: The crossover skip targets your chest and deltoids. Start in the classic skipping position, and cross your arms over your torso as you swing the rope over your head. On the second skip return to the usual position, and alternate with each jump.
